HABITAT:
Giant Pacific octopus live in areas between the low-tide line to depths of 502 metres.
DIET:
Giant Pacific octopus eat rockfish, herring, crab, snails, and clams.
PREDATORS:
Seals, sea lions, and whales are predators to Giant Pacific octopus.
Octopus den in crevices, under rocks, or in man-made objects. They use dens to lay their eggs and hide from predators. These masters of camouflage can quickly change the colour and texture of their skin to match their environment.
Octopus usually hunt at night.
